Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, went to the Indian Air Force’s (AIF) top radar station on Monday, where he saw how the Integrated Air Command and Control System operated (IACCS).
The system, according to the Ministry of Defence, is a crucial operational enabler and the foundation of the IAF’s march towards network centricity.

The system’s capabilities give users better situational awareness, which shortens the sensor-to-shooter loop for the IAF. Redundancies integrated into the system’s functionality allow for seamless operations among its assets across the nation. Various networked activities carried out at various sites across the nation were shown to the defence minister during his visit.
According to the ministry, “they included the networked and synergized operations of fighter, transport, and remotely piloted aircraft.”
He was also educated on the specifics of command and control tasks performed in peacetime, such as assuring the air defence of crucial locations both on a daily basis and during major events.
In his speech, Singh praised the airmen for ensuring the safety of the country’s skies all year long.
