Leadership Transition in Ladakh Police: Shruti Arora Assumes Charge as SP Leh District

In a recent administrative transition, Shruti Arora has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Leh district in Ladakh. This transition comes in the wake of the relocation of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Leh district, P D Nitya, who has been relieved from the Union Territory of Ladakh for further posting in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had issued a transfer order, affecting two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. As per the directive, P D Nitya, an IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre (2016 batch), was transferred from Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir. Simultaneously, Shree Raam R, an IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre (2019 batch), was transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh.
